I had so much fun working with you. Thank you for turning all our ideas into reality and making things happen.
Fiona and Olivier wanted a church ceremony, a sophisticated reception and a party to end all parties to mark their wedding day.
The Wedding
As neither of them are from the UK, most of their guests were travelling from abroad and so they wanted to ensure that they got to see and spend time with everyone.
Boxgrove Priory had agreed to perform a wedding blessing for the couple on the Saturday which meant that they had to legally marry before then. They settled on Chelsea Town Hall for their ceremony and invited just close family and friends.
After the ceremony guests went onto to Claridges for lunch in the Amaryllis room in Gordon Ramsay.
That evening we held a drinks and canapé reception at the Tower of London.
It was a beautiful summer's day and guests lingered on the terrace overlooking the Thames until late. This evening gave the couple the opportunity to greet and see everyone who had arrived.
On the Friday everyone travelled down to Sussex and bride and groom held separate dinners for their respective wedding parties.
On the Saturday, guests were picked up from their hotels by green double decker Queen Mary buses and taken to Boxgrove Priory. After the ceremony guests were transported to Goodwood where they disembarked at the coach circle and made their way to the Chinese Hat tent situated on the front lawn for Pimms, champagne, strawberries, and canapés. All the while being serenaded by a String Quartet in 18th century costume.
Footmen, in traditional costume, stood either side of the entrance to Goodwood. As dinner was announced, the footmen opened the front doors and guided guest to the ballroom entrance where 2 more footmen were situated to help seat guests.
The ballroom colour theme was ivory, gold and sage green. The tables were all candlelit and decorated with either gold and crystal candelabra or hedge boxes filled with ivory roses. The string quartet had been repositioned in the Minstrels gallery to play throughout dinner.
After speeches, ''Frank Sinatra'' performed a 15 min set of the couple''s favourites songs whilst wandering between the tables of guests.
As he finished, we lit the flambes outside and put the lights up in the, until now, secret marquee, and opened the doors from the ballroom into the themed entrance to the Moroccan tent. We had a huge stage, split level dance floor, lit bar, and fully decorated chill out area in the tent.
Guests were served Moroccan cocktails as they entered the tent and took in the kaleidoscope of colour and scent of incense.
The DJ played 3 songs to warm the crowd up and then Chicane played a rocking 60-minute set. The DJ then played until 3am when we had to force guests to leave!
